Joyous received her Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art in 2006 from College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. Her degree included a concentration in Painting and a minor in Psychology. She currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona with her husband, dog, cats, turtles and a betta fish named Mortimer. Joy is a Masters Candidate at Prescott College in Prescott, Arizona. She is studying for her M.A. in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Expressive Art Therapy. Â
